Omni-channel contact centers have emerged as a key value proposition for the ambulatory enterprise of the health system. Originally constructed to schedule appointments, these ambulatory access centers have grown in size, functionality, and complexity. The Patient Access Collaborative has been engaged in ambulatory access center management for more than a decade - our mission is to transfer our knowledge about this important topic to you. The Patient Access Collaborative is certified by the International Accreditors for Continuing Education and Training.
Who should take this course? Persons who are active in the field of ambulatory access center management - or those who may be interested in a role in the field. Applicable for experienced contact center personnel who want to ensure a breadth and depth of knowledge in the discipline of access center management. Those who are new to the field benefit as well. No specific expertise or experience is necessary, however, familiarity with the ambulatory environment may aid in learning.
What does this course entail? System-agnostic education about ambulatory access management to include contact center metrics; fundamentals of training, quality assurance, and workforce management applied to an access center; automation; nurse triage; retention and recruitment; and telephony. A "day in the life," real-world application is also presented. May be considered as a supplement to technical contact center training to understand the pillars of access center management.
Content delivery:
- Eight to ten hours of asynchronous audiovisual education delivered virtually to be viewed at the learner's convenience
- Accompanying knowledge tests for each required module
- Companion case study for learner with supplemental office hours
- Synchronous virtual sessions with industry experts as guest speakers
