Founder & Executive Director
Elizabeth Woodcock, DrPH, MBA, FACMPE, CPC is the founder and executive director of the Patient Access Collaborative, a peer-learning community focused solely on patient access in the ambulatory enterprise. A prolific writer, she is the lead author of The Well-Managed Ambulatory Practice, Mastering Patient Flow and The Physician Billing Process: Navigating Potholes on the Road to Getting Paid, as well as 15 other industry best-sellers. She is widely considered an expert in ambulatory operations and revenue cycle management, and consults with health systems around the country. Elizabeth worked as Group Practice Services Administrator at the University of Virginia Health Services Foundation, as a consultant for the Medical Group Management Association, as Director of Knowledge Management for Physicians Practice, Inc., and as a Senior Associate at The Advisory Board Company. She served as interim Vice President of Access at Emory Healthcare from 2018 to 2019. She was honored with the American Public Health Association Medical Care Section’s 2023 Donabedian Award for her work to improve the quality of care delivered in the United States. In addition to volunteering for Duke University as the Chair of the Atlanta Metro West Alumni Admissions Advisory Committee, she serves on the board of directors of FEAST and volunteers at Trinity Community Ministries, an Atlanta-based in-house transitional center for disadvantaged men. Since 2018, she has served as an Adjunct Professor at the Emory University Rollins School of Public Health. She is a Fellow in the American College of Medical Practice Executives and a Certified Professional Coder. In addition to a BA from Duke University, she completed a MBA degree in healthcare management from The Wharton School of Business of the University of Pennsylvania and a doctorate from the Johns Hopkins University Bloomberg School of Public Health.
